An array of services designed to enable a frail senior to remain in his/her home.

Incapacitated Person

A person who, as a result of a mental illness, developmental disability, physical illness or disability, alcoholism, substance abuse or other cause, lacks sufficient understanding or capacity to make or communicate responsible decisions concerning him or herself.

Inclusion

The process of enabling persons with disabilities to be educated, live, work and participate socially in the same environment as others who are not labeled disabled. Inclusion is also used by educators to refer to the integration of children with disabilities into regular classes for part or all the school day.

Individual Education Plan (IEP)

Directs the services for a child with a disability in a school district.

Individual Service Plan (ISP)

families who have a child with a disability and/or an individual with a disability to live as much like other families and individuals as possible.

Intermediate Care Facility

A 24-hour residential facility for persons with mental illness.
